The Puyallup Valley Community Band is honored to sponsor two cash awards for local band students (woodwind, brass or percussion) through a soloist competition. The first-place winner receives $1,500; alternate winner is awarded $750. Students in high school grades 11 or 12 residing within the Orting, Puyallup, or Sumner school district boundaries or Graham-Kapowsin High School are eligible to apply.
