Mariah Katzberg

Mariiah Katzberg Mariah Katzberg was last year's alternate winner of the Lovezzola Music Award. She is a senior at Puyallup High School in the Running Start Program. Her parents are Martin and MaryAnn Katzberg. She has an identical twin sister, Rachel, also a musician (trumpet) and a sister, Emily. Mariah has studied saxophone with Stacia Rink for six years. Her high school band director is Eric Ryan.

Mariah plays soprano sax in a saxophone quartet which garnered all-superior ratings at the 2014 Washington State Solo and Ensembles Contest. Her Honors Bands participation includes WIBC (3 years), PLU NW High School Honor Band, and All-State Wind Ensemble.

Mariah will matriculate at George Fox University, Newberg, Oregon this fall. Her plans include a major in Finance and Accounting and continuing her music interest by playing in the university band.
