Samantha Grover

Originally from South Carolina, Miss Grover is the oldest of five children. Everyone in her family plays a musical instrument except the youngest brother. She began playing trombone in the 6th grade. By her second year, Samantha was a part of Region Band. In 8th grade she made it to the All State Band (2nd chair) and continued to excel through her sophomore year.

 Her father, an accomplished musician, is a french hornist with the Army Band. currently stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. She has played in the Northwest Honor Band held at PLU, and has performed at the state Solo and Ensemble contest. After high school, Miss Grover plans to move back to South Carolina and attend North Greenville University to study the bible and music. Samantha expresses her love of the Lord through her music and honors Him in her daily living.

 Her band director is Paul Bain of Graham-Kapowsin High School. Her private trombone instructor is Ryan  E. Wagner.
